Palworld launches 1.0 full version, keeps $29.99 price

Pocketpair released Palworld version 1.0 on 10 July 2026, ending its two‑and‑a‑half‑year Early Access. The full release is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles and adds a massive new landmass, floating Sky Islands, the World Tree, new areas such as Sunreach, 72‑plus new Pals, a Wing Pack for aerial travel, over 27 pages of patch notes, revamped combat, graphics upgrades, offshore base building and a host of new weapons and accessories.

The studio announced that the retail price will remain at $29.99 (≈ €29), a rare decision in the industry, and many fans praised the “thank‑you” gesture. Concurrent player numbers surged: Steam recorded over 470 000 simultaneous users, placing Palworld fourth on the platform’s live chart, while German reports noted more than 220 000 players online within hours of launch. A 30 % discount sale ran on Steam and the PlayStation Store.

Palworld has attracted 40 million total players since its early‑access debut and continues to face a patent lawsuit from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, which seeks modest damages and an injunction but does not affect the current launch. Pocketpair’s publishing head John “Bucky” Buckley advised that existing saves can be continued, though a fresh start is recommended to experience the extensive changes.
