Palworld to expand to mobile in 2026 via Garena partnership

The survival game Palworld, developed by Pocketpair, is expanding to mobile platforms through a partnership with Garena. The upcoming title, Palworld Online, is scheduled for release in 2026 on Android and iOS.

Unlike the original PC version, which focused on solo or small-group play, Palworld Online is being developed as a massive online world. The mobile edition will feature a persistent, shared environment where players can encounter one another, engage in player-versus-player battles, and collaborate on shared settlements. New storylines and side quests exclusive to the mobile version are also planned.

Despite its commercial success—reaching over 30 million sales and achieving massive concurrent player peaks on Steam—the game has faced criticism regarding media coverage. Some industry commentators have noted a lack of critical reviews from mainstream entertainment media, suggesting coverage has focused more on legal disputes involving Nintendo than on the game's gameplay achievements.
