Pamban fishermen catch 350kg of tuna; Malaysian MP calls for rule reforms

Fishermen from Pamban reported a significant catch in the Gulf of Mannar, capturing three Yellow Tail Tuna weighing a combined 350 kilograms. The catch, which includes fish approximately 3 meters in length, was purchased by a Kerala-based trader for 63,000 rupees.

In Malaysia, Perikatan Nasional (PN) Member of Parliament Ronald Kiandi has called for urgent reforms to parliamentary rules. Kiandi is advocating for equal constituency funding for all MPs, regardless of party affiliation, and requested easier processes for introducing no-confidence motions. He warned that failure to amend these rules while the current government holds power could lead to similar financial and procedural constraints for future administrations.
