Pamekasan organizations hold cultural seminar honoring M. Tabrani

The Pamekasan Arts Council (DKP), the Pamekasan Journalists Alliance (AJP), and the National Committee of Indonesian Youth (KNPI) Pamekasan held a cultural seminar and meeting for Madurese youth and cultural figures at the Arek Lancor Monument. Held on October 28, 2026, the event commemorated the 98th Youth Pledge Day under the theme “From M. Tabrani for Indonesia.”

The seminar focused on the legacy of M. Tabrani, a historical figure from Pamekasan known for his pioneering role in promoting the use of the Indonesian language. Organizers emphasized the importance of youth engaging with local culture and historical values to strengthen national identity and regional development.

KNPI Pamekasan Chairman Haidar Ansori stated that young people must act as drivers for cultural preservation, using creativity to keep local traditions relevant. AJP Chairman M. Khairul Umam and DKP Chairman Arief Wibisono both highlighted the need for the younger generation to translate historical inspiration into tangible social contributions.
