Pamela Krzypkowska appointed to lead Poland's new AI Commission

The Sejm has elected Pamela Krzypkowska as the chair of the Commission for the Development and Security of Artificial Intelligence. This new body is tasked with overseeing the implementation of the EU AI Act in Poland.

Krzypkowska, a former Microsoft employee who previously served in the Ministry of Digital Affairs, will act as a liaison between Polish companies and the European AI Office in Brussels. The commission will serve as a contact point to help businesses navigate classification and legality requirements, providing legally binding opinions within 30 days for a fee of 150 PLN.

Her previous experience includes supporting machine learning and AI implementations at Microsoft and overseeing the development of the PLLuM language model group and the GRAI working group during her tenure at the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
