PAMI replaces EMEC with SEP for emergency services in Comodoro Rivadavia

The emergency medical service provider EMEC has ceased providing care to PAMI affiliates in Comodoro Rivadavia. Starting this Monday, emergency coverage will be assumed by Servicio de Emergencias Patagónicas (SEP).

According to Fabián Pereyra, a representative for Jubilados en Lucha, the decision to replace EMEC was made by PAMI Central rather than the Chubut delegation. EMEC had previously stated that its departure was due to a unilateral decision that removed them from PAMI’s contractual scheme.

While SEP’s information has appeared in the official PAMI application, concerns remain regarding the new provider's operational capacity. Specifically, there is uncertainty regarding the number of ambulances available in the city and whether the company maintains a local headquarters to manage the demand for medical emergencies and urgencies.
