PAMI updates income requirements for free medication coverage

PAMI has updated the income and asset requirements for its members to access 100% coverage for outpatient medications under its social subsidy program. These changes, effective in October, align with recent adjustments to minimum pensions.

To qualify for full coverage, the general monthly income limit is set at approximately 653,622 to 654,000 pesos, which is equivalent to 1.5 minimum pensions. For households with at least one member holding a Unique Disability Certificate (CUD), the income threshold increases to 1,307,245 pesos, or roughly three minimum pensions.

Eligibility also depends on personal assets. To maintain the benefit, applicants must not hold private health insurance (prepagas), own more than one property, or possess vehicles less than ten years old (except in cases related to disability). Other exclusions include owning boats, aircraft, or corporate shares. Malvinas War veterans are exempt from these asset controls. Treatments for chronic or complex pathologies, such as oncology or transplants, remain free of charge without income evaluation.

Requests for up to four medications receive direct approval. Requests for five or more medications require a central medical audit. The process can be completed via PAMI’s website or mobile app using a DNI and affiliation number.
