Pampetrol approves USD 12.3 million investment for General Pico solar park

The board of the provincial state company Pampetrol has awarded the contract for the second stage of the General Pico Photovoltaic Solar Park to Vial A S.A. and TPS Constructora S.A. The project involves a private investment of approximately USD 12.37 million and is expected to add 15 MW of power to the provincial energy system.

The construction is scheduled to be completed within 12 months. The project follows a joint investment scheme where Pampetrol holds a 16.8% stake in the results, while the remaining 83.2% belongs to the winning companies. This new stage will complement the initial 15 MW phase, which is currently 55% complete.

Additionally, the resolution allows for a procedure where other prequalified bidders, such as Cimepro S.A., Martínez y De la Fuente S.A., and Megatrans S.A., may match the awarded economic conditions to potentially trigger the construction of another 15 MW solar park. The initiative aims to increase local renewable generation to supply the Energy and Productive Development Pole and the Economic Activities Park.
