Pampita defends herself against Luján pilgrimage cheating allegations

Model and presenter Carolina ‘Pampita’ Ardohain has addressed allegations that she ‘cheated’ during her recent participation in the traditional pilgrimage to the Basilica of Luján. The controversy arose following comments by journalist Nacho Ortelli, who suggested that Ardohain did not complete the full distance from the traditional starting point in Liniers, but instead began her walk from locations further along the route, such as Moreno.

During an interview with Ángel de Brito, Ardohain defended her experience, noting the physical difficulties faced during the trek, including heavy rains and muscle cramps. She stated that the value of a pilgrimage should not be measured solely by the number of kilometers walked, as ‘everyone walks what they can, what they want, and everything is valid.’

Ardohain concluded her response by issuing a challenge to Ortelli, inviting him to join her on the pilgrimage next year to experience the journey firsthand, regardless of the weather conditions.
