Pamplona highlights historical heritage and intercultural diversity

Pamplona is highlighting its cultural and historical offerings beyond the San Fermín festivities. The city features a rich urban history spanning over two millennia, characterized by its medieval core consisting of the Navarrería, San Cernin, and San Nicolás districts, which unified in 1423. Key landmarks include the Plaza del Castillo, the Cathedral of Santa María la Real, and the Ciudadela, a Renaissance military fortification that now serves as an exhibition space for contemporary arts.

Complementing its historical heritage, the city is hosting the IV Intercultural Festival for Diversity. This event brings together various musical, dance, and artistic expressions—including flamenco, Afro-Brazilian percussion, and Caribbean rhythms—to promote social inclusion and cultural exchange.
