Pamporovo reports mixed summer season results
Pamporovo AD has concluded its summer season with mixed results. Executive Director Stefan Prisadov reported a nearly 12% decrease in hotel overnight stays, which the company attributed to currency fluctuations, rising prices, and global uncertainty. Additionally, a landslide on the Smolyan–Pamporovo road in May, followed by misinformation regarding road access, negatively impacted reservations.
Conversely, the resort saw a 16% increase in visitors to its sports and entertainment zones, including the bike and adventure park, lifts, and nature activity areas. Successful summer events included the Pamporovo Summer Fest and the DECATHLON Persenk Ultra mountain running festival, which attracted over 3,500 participants from various European countries.
Preparations for the winter season are currently underway. The new Malina–Studenets four-seater lift is in its final stages of construction and landscaping. A testing period for the new infrastructure is scheduled from October 1 to October 15, with the goal of having the lift operational for the start of the winter season.
