Pampulha Airport resumes operations after aircraft accident

Pampulha Airport in Belo Horizonte resumed normal operations on Wednesday evening after a two-hour closure caused by a small aircraft accident. The incident involved a Hawker Beechcraft C90GTi (registration PP-ADU) during a landing attempt at approximately 3:49 PM.

According to Motiva Aeroportos, the airport manager, the twin-engine aircraft experienced technical issues during landing, causing one of the landing gears to fail. This resulted in a wing and part of the fuselage striking the ground. The two people on board were uninjured. The runway was closed to allow for the removal of the aircraft and safety inspections, reopening at 6:00 PM.
