The National Action Party (PAN) is restructuring its political strategy in preparation for the 2027 elections. National leader Jorge Romero Herrera has indicated that the party is evaluating potential electoral alliances with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in specific states, such as Veracruz, to counter the growth of Morena. This represents a shift from previous stances that ruled out such agreements.

Internal organization is also a priority, with the party planning to define its coordinators and candidate profiles during September. A National Council meeting is scheduled for September 6 to establish the rules for selecting representatives for various offices, including mayors, deputies, and councilors. The leadership has emphasized a desire to open candidacies to new citizens to increase competitiveness.

Regional efforts are underway to build unity and territorial structure. In Querétaro, former governor Francisco Domínguez Servién called for the party to move past internal factions to focus on the 2027 challenges. Meanwhile, in Baja California Sur and Chihuahua, local committees are working on commission assignments and strategic planning to strengthen the party's presence ahead of upcoming electoral processes.
