Pan-Cretan Mental Health Festival 2026 to be held in Lasithi

The Pan-Cretan Mental Health Festival 2026 will take place in the Lasithi regional unit of Crete on October 20 and 21. Organized by the 7th Health Region of Crete in collaboration with the Region of Crete and supported by the municipalities of Agios Nikolaos and Ierapetra, the event aims to raise awareness, promote social participation, and combat stigma surrounding mental health.

On Tuesday, October 20, activities will be held in Ierapetra and Agios Nikolaos. In Ierapetra, experiential workshops such as ‘Painting for Mental Health’ and ‘Talk to Me Differently’ will focus on emotional expression and empathy. In Agios Nikolaos, the program includes yoga sessions for adults and children, as well as basketball games involving students and mental health service recipients.

The festival's central event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, from 17:00 to 21:00 at the Lake of Agios Nikolaos, featuring a program designed for both children and adults. The festival aligns with the theme ‘Lived experiences are heard: Real voices, real change,’ emphasizing the value of personal experience in mental health advocacy.
