Pan Dorobou anime adaptation announced with various collaborations

The popular picture book series ‘Pan Dorobou’ by Keiko Shibata is expanding its reach through an upcoming anime adaptation and various commercial collaborations. To celebrate the animation, KADOKAWA will release a limited edition of ‘Monthly The Television’ in October 2026, featuring the series' characters on the cover.

The anime, produced by Shin-Ei Animation and directed by Naohiko Kyogoku, is scheduled to broadcast on NHK E-Tele starting in October. The voice cast includes Ayaka Asai as the titular character, Junichi Suwabe, and Aki Toyosaki, with an ending theme by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

Additional promotional activities include a collaboration with SHOWA pancake mix, the release of a ‘Birthday Book’ on October 16, and regional festivals in Kumamoto and Sapporo. The series has already surpassed 6 million copies in cumulative sales.
