PAN Querétaro outlines 2027 election strategy and candidate profiles
The National Action Party (PAN) in Querétaro is refining its political strategy ahead of the 2027 elections. State leader Martín Arango García clarified that while no official coordinators have been designated following the close of internal surveys, the party is maintaining transparency in its selection process.
Arango confirmed that the party will incorporate non-affiliated citizens into municipal and district candidacies, though the race for the governorship will focus on established profiles. The four most competitive finalists for the governorship are identified as Felipe Fernando Macías, Luis Nava, Chepe Guerrero, and Agustín Dorantes.
Regarding gender alternation, Querétaro Culture Secretary Ana Paola López Birlain suggested that the PAN may nominate a male candidate for the 2027 governorship, potentially paving the way for a female candidate in 2033. Arango emphasized that the party is working to maintain unity and that internal measurements will be used to finalize decisions.
