Culinary trends and traditional recipes featured
A collection of diverse culinary features and recipes highlights various food trends and traditional dishes.
In retail, Lidl has introduced pork cheeks in their own sauce under the ‘Regionalne Polskie Szlaki’ line. The product is noted for its clean label, consisting of 96 percent pork cheeks, salt, onion, and natural spices, without artificial fillers or mechanically separated meat.
Traditional Polish cuisine is also featured, including pierogi with millet, cottage cheese, and mint—a recipe from Wola Skromowska that is listed on the Traditional Products List by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Seasonal recipes include an ‘ugly duckling cake’ from the southern United States, which uses fruit cocktail for moisture, a flourless chocolate cake made with almonds, and various autumn preparations such as marinated pumpkin and chicken with pumpkin and mushrooms. Other practical cooking methods include making yeast rolls on a pan instead of in an oven and testing a cinnamon-apple cake recipe popularized by YouTuber Książulo.
