PAN Guanajuato selects nine leaders for regional program

The National Action Party (PAN) in Guanajuato has finalized the selection of nine individuals to lead its “Defensores de la Patria, la Familia y la Libertad” program across nine municipalities. The selected leaders include prominent political figures such as Juan Carlos Romero Hicks for Guanajuato, Víctor Manuel Zanella Huerta for Irapuato, Jorge Arturo Espadas Galván for León, and Janet Melanie Murillo Chávez for Silao.

The selection process utilized a multi-component evaluation model rather than a traditional internal election. The criteria included citizen perception (25%), leadership skills (25%), political and social experience (20%), party militancy perception (15%), vision and values (10%), and reputation and integrity (5%).

The program covers the municipalities of Guanajuato, Irapuato, León, Pénjamo, Salamanca, San Francisco del Rincón, San Luis de la Paz, San Miguel de Allende, and Silao. Notably, the party indicated that the selected representatives for Salamanca and San Miguel de Allende are not members of the PAN.
