PAN hopefuls Dante Carreón and Liliana Ortiz eye 2027 municipal and federal races in Mexico
Former Villa de Pozos councilor Dante Alan Carreón Sandoval has registered on the Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) platform to seek the party’s municipal coordination for the capital of San Luis Potosí. He notes that Villa de Pozos, a newly created municipality, is not yet listed on the platform but expects the PAN National Executive Committee to define the municipal coordinations, allowing residents to elect their first municipal authorities.
Federal deputy Liliana Ortiz Pérez of Puebla says she is open to a PAN candidacy for the 2027 elections but is currently focused on her legislative work. Ortiz, who serves as vice‑coordinator of social policy for the PAN parliamentary group, highlighted the recent unanimous approval of a mental‑health reform in the Chamber of Deputies, now pending Senate review. Both politicians view the upcoming internal selection process as an opportunity to represent PAN’s interests at municipal and federal levels.
