PAN Lawmaker Gerardo Peña Flores Warns of Growing Discontent with Morena in Tamaulipas

PAN deputy Gerardo Peña Flores, coordinator of the party’s caucus in the state Congress of Tamaulipas, said citizens are increasingly dissatisfied with Morena‑led governments. He cited alleged ties between some Morena officials and criminal groups, and highlighted everyday problems such as water shortages, poor road conditions, lack of medicines, inadequate school facilities, unfinished paving, and insufficient drainage.

Peña Flores argued that social programs are constitutional and should not depend on any party, claiming PAN administrations have received better performance ratings nationally. He warned that opinion polls could be used to create a false sense of a predetermined election outcome and urged voters to exercise their right to vote. Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, he expressed confidence that the PAN will regain seats and improve governance at municipal, state, and federal levels.
