Pan Ocean secures 212 billion Won transport contract from Vale
South Korean shipping company Pan Ocean has secured a transport contract from Vale valued at 212 billion Won. This agreement follows a previous long-term freight contract worth 96 billion Won signed earlier in October 2026, signaling an expansion of the company's predictable, long-term transport volumes.
Pan Ocean maintains a diversified portfolio including dry bulk, containers, tankers, and LNG. In the first half of 2026, the company reported consolidated revenue of 3.42259 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 334.618 billion KRW. Notable performance segments included the tanker division, which saw operating results rise to 71.8 billion Won, and the LNG sector, which contributed 96.9 billion Won.
Investors are closely monitoring the company's shift toward contractually secured volumes ahead of its next earnings report, scheduled for November 5, 2026.
