PAN Quintana Roo faces internal crisis over funding and leadership
The National Action Party (PAN) in Quintana Roo is facing an internal crisis characterized by allegations of economic asphyxiation and institutional violence against municipal committees. Local leaders from Tulum, Cozumel, and Felipe Carrillo Puerto have accused state party leader Reyna Tamayo of withholding approved funds and failing to maintain necessary communication.
Germán González, the state general secretary, reported that these municipal committees have gone three months without receiving resources, despite funds being approved by the State Council. Leaders in Cozumel and Tulum described the situation as a lack of institutional coordination that leaves local structures unable to operate effectively. They warned that this internal fracture and lack of resources could significantly weaken the party's competitiveness in the upcoming 2027 elections.
