PAN seeks internal unity ahead of Mexico's 2027 elections

National PAN leader Mario Riestra repudiated claims of internal chaos within the party as it prepares for the 2027 elections. He said a political delegate from the party’s executive committee, Daniel Chimal, will meet with prominent figures such as Eduardo Rivera and Genoveva Huerta to foster dialogue and resolve disagreements through institutional means. Riestra also rejected allegations that the PAN is behind negative campaigns targeting Morena members.

In the neighboring state of Querétaro, Youth Secretary Virginia Hernández announced her interest in pursuing an elected office in 2027. She told reporters she has discussed the possibility with Governor Mauricio Kuri and PAN officials, but remains focused on completing youth‑program initiatives, especially those dealing with mental health and psychological support.
