PAN supports educational equality and new presidential nomination rules

During the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Mandate Party (PAN) in Jakarta, Chairperson Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that quality education must be accessible to all and not a luxury reserved for wealthy urban families. He expressed the party's support for the 'Sekolah Rakyat' and 'Sekolah Garuda Transformasi' programs to ensure equitable educational access across Indonesia.

Additionally, PAN Deputy Chairperson Viva Yoga Mauladi voiced support for a proposal regarding the 2029 presidential election. He suggested that presidential and vice-presidential candidates should be able to run with the support of a minimum of two political parties. This stance follows a Constitutional Court ruling that invalidated the previous presidential threshold, arguing that candidate nominations should not be based on specific percentages of parliamentary seats or national votes.
