Panagia Turliani Monastery hosts multi-hierarchical liturgy in Mykonos

A multi-hierarchical Divine Liturgy was held at the Panagia Turliani Monastery in Ano Mera, Mykonos, to honor the assembly of the Three Newly Glorified Holy Fathers: Porphyrios of Kavsokalyvia, Paisios of Mount Athos, and James of “Me Syngnorite”.

The service was led by the Metropolitan of Syros, Dorotheos II, and co-celebrated by the Metropolitans of Serres, Kifisia, Trikala, and Lagadas. The event also included the participation of the monastery's Abbot, Archimandrite Alexios Papadopoulos, along with various ecclesiastical representatives from Syros, Andros, Sifnos, Athens, and other Greek dioceses.

During the service, Metropolitan Theologos of Serres delivered a sermon based on the Gospel invitation for the weary to find rest in Christ, emphasizing that the burden of the Lord is light for those who love Him. The ceremony was attended by a large number of faithful from Mykonos and Sifnos, as well as local officials including the former Mayor of Mykonos, Konstantinos Koukas.
