Panagiotis Christofilias appointed as Kalamata football club head coach
PAE Kalamata introduced Panagiotis Christofilias as its new head coach at a press event held at the Horizon Blu venue. The club’s owner and major shareholder, George Prassa, opened the ceremony and emphasized the team’s ambition to cement its place in the Greek Super League.
Christofilias, a native of Kalamata, thanked the club’s leadership and fans, pledging a “101% effort” to achieve the season’s objectives. He was accompanied by his first‑assistant, Theodoros Antonopoulos, a UEFA‑A licensed coach with experience in Greece and abroad. Deputy presidents George Rallis and Kostas Vergis, along with press officer Anastasia Vosnaké, also spoke, highlighting the need for rapid stadium upgrades and the broader goal of establishing Kalamata as a permanent force in top‑flight Greek football.
The club’s executives reiterated that the primary target is to retain Super League status this season and to build a sustainable foundation for future success.
