Panamá Black Weekend 2026 to offer discounts up to 70%

The Panamá Black Weekend 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 2 to October 4, featuring discounts of up to 70% on selected merchandise. Organized by the Asociación Panameña de Centros Comerciales (APACECOM), the event will involve 16 shopping centers and plazas nationwide, including Albrook Mall, Westland Mall, and Los Andes Mall, representing over 3,000 stores.

While rising fuel prices and unemployment may impact local consumer participation, the Cámara Nacional de Turismo (Camtur) expects international visitors to offset the decline in domestic spending. The economic impact of the event is estimated at 85 million dollars. To support this, Camtur has expanded promotional strategies to include hotels, restaurants, and car rentals to reinforce Panama's position as a global shopping hub.

Regarding Albrook Mall, officials stated that structural alterations in certain areas are under control and being constantly reviewed, ensuring they do not pose a risk to consumers during the shopping period.
