Panama advances to Solve for Tomorrow 2026 bootcamp

Panama is among 13 countries advancing to the Bootcamp phase of the 2026 edition of Solve for Tomorrow, an educational program organized by Samsung. This year's competition saw record participation, with over 5,153 ideas submitted, representing a 70.7% increase from the previous year.

Thirty-nine semifinalist teams from 13 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean have been selected. These teams will undergo training in Design Thinking, prototyping, and mentorship to strengthen their proposals. The projects focus on critical challenges such as the environment, water, agriculture, sustainability, inclusion, and accessibility. Approximately 50% of the initiatives are linked to sustainability and the environment, while nearly 30% focus on inclusion and accessibility.

Following the Bootcamp, 13 initiatives—one from each participating country—will be selected to represent their nations in the next stage of the competition. The program aims to promote STEM skills among younger generations by connecting scientific and technological knowledge with social and environmental solutions.
