Panama and Colombia honor distinguished jurist and journalist

The University of Panama has honored jurist and academic Carlos Bolívar Pedreschi for his distinguished career in law and constitutional studies. During a ceremony organized by the Azuero Regional University Center and the Panamanian Academy of Language, Pedreschi received the Academic Excellence and Legal Legacy Decoration, along with the Paula Solís de Huerta Medal.

Pedreschi, a specialist in Constitutional Law, previously served on the 1983 Commission to Review the Political Constitution of Panama and was a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague between 1990 and 1994. He has also been a professor at the University of Panama and the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua.

In Colombia, the Universidad Sergio Arboleda highlighted that alumnus William Agudelo Cubillos was awarded the ‘Orden Juan García del Río’ by the Fundación Periodistas Bolivarianos de América. The distinction recognizes Agudelo Cubillos’s professional trajectory and contributions to journalism and the preservation of historical memory.
