Panama and Honduras prepare patriotic parades for 2026
Panama's Ministry of Education, through the National Commission of Patriotic Parades, held its first coordination meeting with security agencies and government bodies to plan the November 3‑4, 2026 celebrations. General Director of Education Edwin Gordon urged continued inter‑institutional cooperation, while national parade coordinator Cristóbal Batista emphasized the crucial role of security forces and announced upcoming meetings with schools and independent bands.
In Honduras, Education Minister Arely Argueta confirmed that 55 schools have registered to take part in the 2026 patriotic festivities, with plans to involve additional institutions nationwide. She highlighted the use of Honduran folk music and modest traditional attire for participants, stressing the educational and cultural values promoted by the events.
Both countries are focusing on civic education, cultural expression, and public safety as they ready their national celebrations for the upcoming year.
