Panama and Paraguay launch initiatives to support entrepreneurship

Panama will host the First Sports Business Summit from July 22 to 25, 2025, at the Atheyna Bylon Training Center. Organized by AMPYME and PANDEPORTES, the event aims to connect sports, innovation, and entrepreneurship to foster sustainable economic development. The summit will feature conferences, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to help athletes, coaches, and professionals formalize business models and align with global industry trends.

In Paraguay, approximately 1,500 female entrepreneurs, including youth and heads of households, completed a free online financial education workshop. The initiative was led by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security through SINAFOCAL, in coordination with the Ministry of Women and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The training focused on income management, savings, access to financing, and sustainable project growth to strengthen the country's micro, small, and medium enterprise sector.
