Panama hosts first Interreligious Cultural Festival

The first Interreligious Cultural Festival of Panama was held at the Soka Gakkai International Cultural Center as part of Temple Week. Organized by the Interreligious Committee of Panama, the event utilized music, dance, and poetry to foster dialogue and fraternity among diverse faith communities.

Participants included representatives from various groups: the Buddhist community performed folk music, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provided musical performances, and the Episcopal community presented traditional cumbia. The Jewish community shared liturgical pieces, while the Catholic community and the Bahá’í community also contributed to the cultural exchange. Carlos Maires, director general of Soka Gakkai, noted that art serves as a bridge to overcome distances and build universal fraternity.
