Panama increases transfer pricing tax oversight for 2026

Panama is implementing stricter tax oversight regarding transfer pricing for companies conducting transactions with related parties. Starting in 2026, the Dirección General de Ingresos (DGI) will utilize new information requirements and international data cross-referencing to increase scrutiny.

The updated Form 930 expands reporting requirements to include not only income, costs, and expenses but also assets and liabilities such as accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable, as well as their effects on depreciation and amortization. Companies operating under special regimes, including the Colón Free Zone and Panama Pacifico, are subject to these documentation obligations. Failure to comply with these heightened fiscalization measures can result in sanctions reaching up to one million dollars.
