Panama National Oratory Contest selects 15 finalists

The National Oratory Contest in Panama has concluded its national preselection stage, identifying 15 finalists to compete in the grand final scheduled for November 22 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be broadcast via national television, radio, and digital platforms.

Sixty-one students representing 16 school regions participated in the preselection held at the Ascanio Arosemena Theater. Competitors were evaluated on spontaneous performance and improvisation based on nine specific criteria. The finalists will now undergo more than a month of intensive training at the National Academy of Oratory to strengthen their communication skills and subject knowledge.

The theme for this year’s competition, proposed by the National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACyT), is ‘The artificial intelligence revolution: young creators of solutions and leaders of digital transformation in Panama.’ The topic focuses on the role of new generations in driving technological innovation and development within the country.
