Panama national team begins training in India for upcoming friendly
The Panama national football team has begun training in Bengaluru, India, in preparation for a friendly match scheduled for Friday. Led by coach Thomas Christiansen, 19 players participated in their first ball-work session at the Centre for Sports Excellence.
The Asian tour serves a dual purpose: preparing for upcoming official matches and evaluating new talent. Player José Luis Rodríguez emphasized that the team is looking ahead to November, specifically focusing on the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals.
The squad is also using this period to integrate new players, including goalkeeper Marcos de León, who joined the call-up following a recovery from injury.
