Panama to feature prominently in Santo Domingo Book Fair and Fashion Week 2026
Panama is set to play a central role in the 2026 Santo Domingo International Book Fair, serving as the guest nation. The event, organized by the Dominican Ministry of Culture, aims to connect local writers with international markets. The Panamanian delegation will include 35 writers, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the National Ballet, featuring diverse offerings in literature, cinema, and performing arts.
Additionally, Panama Fashion Week 2026 will return to Ciudad de las Artes from September 24 to 27. Under the theme ‘The Art of Shape,’ the event will showcase designers from seven countries, including Panama, Colombia, and Spain. The fashion week will integrate social causes, featuring charity shows to benefit the Oncology Hospital and FUNDANA.
Journalist Jaime Bayly is also scheduled to participate in the Santo Domingo Book Fair, marking his return to the Dominican Republic as an established author.
