Panama U‑20 draws 1‑1 with Pachuca in Mexico friendly

Panama's under‑20 national football team played its first preparation match for the 2025 CONCACAF U‑20 Championship against a combined Sub‑21/Sub‑19 side from Club Pachuca at the Universidad del Fútbol in Hidalgo, Mexico. The game ended level at 1‑1, with Panama taking the lead through a long‑range strike by forward Gerson Gordón before Pachuca equalised minutes later.

The squad will hold a second training match on July 20 before moving to Puebla on July 24, where the group‑stage matches of the CONCACAF tournament will be held. Panama's opening fixture of the championship is scheduled for July 26 against Canada at the Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla.
