Panama announces baseball roster for 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games
Panama's baseball federation (Fedebeis) released a 24‑player roster for the baseball tournament at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games, scheduled for 31 July to 7 August 2026 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The team will be led by manager Alberto Macré. Pitchers named include Harold Araúz, Gilberto Chu, Pedro González, Alberto Guerrero, Kevin Miranda, Alain Pérez, Darío Agrazal, Kevin Rodríguez, Davis Romero and Enrique Saldaña. Catchers are Erasmo Caballero and Mario Sanjur. Infielders comprise Arod McKenzie, Edgard Muñoz, Jason Patterson, Héctor Rayo, Joshwan Wright and Abraham Rodríguez, while outfielders are Juan Diego Alonso Collado, Luis Castillo, José Mordock, Carlos Mosquera, Jhonny Santos and Jael Escobar. The technical staff features Crispín Poveda, Rodolfo Aparicio, Alexander Guerra, Carlos Muñoz, Willy Serrano and Javier Rosado.
Panama has been placed in Group B with Mexico, Nicaragua and Colombia and hopes to break a two‑decade stretch without a podium finish at the regional Games. The multi‑sport event will gather more than 6,000 athletes from 24 nations and is held every four years to promote sport and regional integration.
