Panamanian police recover horse used in Río Hato armed robbery

Authorities in the Coclé province of Panama have recovered the horse used during an unusual armed robbery at a mini-market in Río Hato, Antón district. The incident, which occurred on August 28, was captured on security cameras and showed two hooded men arriving on horseback. One suspect dismounted, threatened the clerk and customers with a firearm, and stole cash from the register along with other belongings before fleeing on the animal.

Following an operation by the National Police, the horse was located and is currently being held in a corral as evidence. Investigators are examining the animal's branding iron to determine its legal origin and to establish whether there is a connection between the registered owner and the suspects. A minor is among those being investigated for their alleged involvement in the crime.
