Panama's Cobre Emprende Pitch Awards $100 K to 20 Entrepreneurs
The Cobre Emprende: El Pitch program in Panama granted more than $100,000 in non‑repayable seed capital to 20 selected entrepreneurs from the regions of Colón, Panama City, Coclé and communities such as Río Indio, Miguel de la Borda and Donoso. The funding is intended to strengthen businesses, acquire equipment, improve production processes and expand growth opportunities. Winners include ventures in clothing, gastronomy, agriculture, circular economy, technology, beauty, nutrition, barbering and woodworking, such as Eliecer Chirú’s sports‑uniform serigraphy business and Club Plata, a digital platform supporting older adults.
The month‑long initiative provides mentorship and tools to help these small enterprises become sustainable and generate local employment.
