Panama's 'Mi Primer Empleo Agro' registers 58 producers and 113 youth vacancies in Los Santos and Veraguas

The Ministry of Labor and Workforce Development (Mitradel) promoted its youth‑employment initiative Mi Primer Empleo Agro in the provinces of Los Santo and Veraguas. 58 agricultural producers in Los Santo signed up, offering a total of 113 entry‑level positions for young job‑seekers. In the district of Mariato, Veraguas, 19 youths formally enrolled and local farms and agribusinesses made 25 positions available.

The outreach took place in the community of El Carate (Las Tablas district) and in the Arena and Quebro communities of Mariato, where Minister of Labor Jackeline Muñoz de Cedeño presented the programme’s benefits. The scheme is part of the broader Panamá Pa’ Ti plan, aiming to match young people with their first work experience in the agricultural sector and to strengthen the labor market for producers.
