Panama's Museo del Canal joins Yale Directors Forum

Ana Elizabeth González, executive director and chief curator of the Museo del Canal Interoceánico de Panamá, has been selected to participate in the Yale Directors Forum. Panama is one of only two Latin American countries chosen for this international cultural heritage leadership program.

Driven by the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (IPCH) at Yale University, the forum brings together 12 specialists from nine countries across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The program focuses on exchange, training, and collaboration to strengthen the management of institutions dedicated to preserving both material and immaterial cultural heritage, including historical collections, archives, and living cultural expressions.

González joins representatives from various nations, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Brazil, and Jamaica, to build an international network of professionals committed to the conservation and dissemination of cultural memory.
