Panapesca reports 8.8% reduction in energy consumption

Panapesca has released its second Sustainability Report, highlighting an 8.8% reduction in energy consumption for 2025, totaling 19,042.91 MWh. This decrease was achieved through continuous consumption monitoring and the ICOPOWER project, which optimized power absorption for refrigeration plants, resulting in savings of 332,862 kWh.

The Group also initiated its first Carbon Footprint calculation for the parent company, measuring Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions according to the GHG Protocol. Additionally, the Massa and Cozzile plant began implementing an Environmental Management System compliant with ISO 14001:2015, receiving certification in early 2026.

In environmental conservation efforts, Panapesca collaborated with the startup Ogyre to recover marine waste. In 2025, the initiative recovered 1,271 kg of plastic and marine debris, representing a 182% increase compared to 2024. The company has also partnered with biodiversity specialist 3Bee.
