Panasonic restructures European heating and cooling operations
Panasonic Heating & Cooling has implemented a new independent organizational structure in Europe following the April 2026 establishment of Panasonic HVAC & CC Co., Ltd. This global entity consolidates the company’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and cold chain activities.
To support this realignment, Panasonic is investing in regional manufacturing, research and development, and training. A key component of this strategy is a €320 million investment to expand and modernize its heat pump plant in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The Pilsen site, which operates as a net-zero facility using green electricity and solar power, will focus on production and R&D for products such as the Aquarea M-series.
Additionally, Panasonic has entered a strategic partnership with EnerCube GmbH, an Austrian company that manufactures prefabricated heat pump heating centers designed for the serial renovation of residential buildings. EnerCube will integrate Panasonic’s ‘Big Aquarea M-series’ air-to-water heat pumps into its units.
