Yacine Titraoui rejects €8m Olympiakos move, targets English Championship

Algerian midfielder Yacine Titraoui, who has become a key player for Belgium's Sporting Charleroi with 74 appearances, 7 goals and 5 assists, was the subject of a transfer saga in the summer of 2026. Olympiakos FC reached an agreement with Charleroi for an €8 million fee, with bonuses that could raise the total to €10 million, and offered the player a four‑year contract that would give him the chance to play in the UEFA Champions League. Despite the financial terms, Titraoui formally declined the move, stating he does not want to join Olympiakos and would rather move to a top‑five European league or the English Championship. Welsh club Swansea City, competing in the English Championship, remains interested in signing him. Charleroi had set a minimum fee of €10 million for any sale. A previous potential transfer to Dinamo Zagreb collapsed after a medical examination raised concerns.
