Spanish sports daily Mundo Deportivo described Panathinaikos B.C.'s new roster as a "fearsome five" that can challenge the whole of Europe. The newspaper placed the Greek club at the top of its EuroLeague summer power rankings, calling the team an "over‑hyped favorite" for the upcoming season.

Key additions highlighted include the return of head coach Zeljko Obradovic, the signing of guard Silven Francisco, and the surprise acquisition of forward Gerson Jabusele. Existing stars such as Kostas Sloukas, Nikola Nane and Branko Bantio are noted as core offensive threats, while Isaac Bonga and Naïjel Hayes‑Davis are expected to bolster the defense. The report also flagged lingering injury concerns for Matias Lessor and Mustafa Fal, who are recovering from serious knee problems.
