Panathinaikos defeats Levadiakos 2-0 in Super League opener

Panathinaikos secured a 2-0 away victory against Levadiakos in the second matchday of the Stoiximan Super League. The match opened with an early goal in the 3rd minute via an own goal by Levadiakos defender Giannis Kosti, following a corner kick delivered by Vicente Tabora.

Panathinaikos maintained control throughout much of the match, with notable performances from debutant Kings Kangwa and Vicente Tabora, who provided assists for both goals. The victory was sealed in the 77th minute when Cyriel Dessers scored a header after coming off the bench.

Levadiakos faced significant challenges after Panagiotis Simelidis received a straight red card in the 76th minute. Despite the dismissal, Levadiakos coach Ilias Charalambous noted that his team was highly competitive and arguably better during the second half before the red card changed the momentum of the game.

Panathinaikos coach Jakob Strup expressed satisfaction with the three points but emphasized that the team is still far from perfection and requires further improvements in both defensive and offensive play.
