Panathinaikos finalises €4 m deal for Zambian midfielder Kings Kangoua

Panathinaikos has reached agreement with Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva to sign Zambian midfielder Kings Kangoua. The transfer fee is reported at about €4 million (some sources cite €4.2 million) plus bonuses, and the player will sign a four‑year contract running to June 2030 with an annual salary around €1 million. Hapoel Be’er Sheva will retain a resale clause – reports differ between 10 % and 25 % of any future sale. Kangoua will finish the current Champions League qualifying round with Hapoel before travelling to Athens for medicals and contract signing. AEK Athens withdrew its interest after the player featured in the qualifying match, leaving Panathinaikos as the sole contender. The Greek club expects to announce the completion of the deal once the medicals are completed.

The transfer is part of Panathinaikos’ broader recruitment strategy, aimed at strengthening the right‑wing and central midfield positions ahead of the new season.
