Greek club Panathinaikos opened its 2024‑25 pre‑season with a 4‑0 victory over Dutch second‑division side Helmond Sport at the MEC’07 training centre in Maureik, the Netherlands. The match marked the first appearance of new Danish head coach Jesper Nistrop, who fielded a 4‑2‑3‑1 formation and made nine halftime substitutions.
