Panathinaikos delays Victor Kristiansen move, awaits Leicester decision

Greek club Panathinaikos has postponed finalising the transfer of Danish left‑back Victor Kristiansen and will wait for further negotiations with English side Leicester City until Wednesday, 8 July. The club has kept a standby option and said it will make a definitive decision by the end of the week if no progress is reached.

Panathinaikos aims to resolve the deal before its Conference League qualifiers on 23 and 30 July. Leicester’s current stance favours an outright sale rather than a loan with an option to buy, while Panathinaikos continues to press for the latter arrangement.

If talks stall, the Greek side will activate alternative plans for the left‑back position, having already identified a secondary candidate and maintaining communication with the player’s representatives.
